Our Designer 8” memory foam mattress is a 2-Layer Design mattress that is suitable for all types. The 2-Layer Design includes a 3” high memory foam, also know as visco elastic foam, top layer and a 5” high density foam base.
The memory foam top is the temperature sensitive foam that will mould to your body within minutes of laying down. Memory foam (visco elastic) will reduce pressure points that cause you to toss and turn all night long. As a result, you will get a full night of sleep and wake up feeling energized and rejuvenated!
The high density foam base is a critical component of our Designer 8” memory foam mattress because it is the foam base that supports and maintains the integrity of the memory foam (visco elastic) material. Our Designer 8” mattress will eliminate restless nights by 90% so you can benefit from deep, uninterrupted sleep.
Compare the Designer 8” to Tempur-Pedic’s Original Bed and save 55%. Take advantage of our 90-Day Sleep Trial and sleep with peace of mind.
All our memory foam mattresses are manufactured in the USA and have a 20-Year Manufactures Warranty. The Designer 8” mattress comes with a Camille Stretch Knit Cover that is hypoallergenic and machine washable for easy maintenance. Our Designer 8” is a non-flip mattress. Once the mattress is in place, you don’t have to move it again.

What is Memory Foam?
The Memory foam market is one of the fastest growing sectors in the industry today. Innovations in our manufacturing process have made it widely available and affordable to the public. It is a unique product with many health benefits for all ages.
Memory foam is the top layer of the mattress or the full topper and it is made of open cell technology that contours your body in any position. Also referred to as visco elastic foam, this temperature sensitive foam will mould to your body within minutes of laying down.
It is comprised of billions of tiny air-filled cells. These cells compress when you lie down with the air moving slowly from cell to cell allowing some to fully compress while others expand. When you move, the memory foam (visco elastic) simply takes up air again. You will feel like you're suspended in mid-air yet you will be completely supported from head to toe.
A unique feature and perhaps the most appealing is the temperature-sensitive property of memory foam. The body areas which create more heat when laying down (shoulders and hips) will sink deeper for deeper support and the less heat activated areas (arms, legs and lower back) will be supported at a higher level. This allows your body to rest with the proper spinal alignment. |

Which thickness is best for me?
The Designer 8” memory foam mattress is 8” high, however the thickness we are referring to is the memory foam (visco elastic) top layer.
A good recommendation on this point is a thickness between 2" to 4".
For most people, a 3" thick memory foam (visco elastic) layer is sufficient amount of material to cushion and conform to their body. Also, side sleepers seem to prefer a 3" top layer because it provides them with enough depth to contour and support the shoulder and hip.
A 2" thick memory foam layer is sufficient for those who sleep mostly on their backs and stomachs.
The 4" memory foam (visco elastic) layer, which is available in our 4-Layer Design mattresses, will deliver extra comfort if you prefer more cushion for support.

What density is best for me?
The density is the key factor when you purchase a memory foam mattress and should be displayed on the information provided by the manufacture or retailer.
Memory foam, also known as visco elastic foam, density is measured in pounds per cubic foot and is a good indicator of the quality of the memory foam.
Higher density foam mattresses and toppers cost more but also last longer and offer better support. Density ratings generally range from 2.5 lbs. - 8 lbs. with the higher density being the most firm, supportive and highest quality. Keep in mind that denser memory foam mattresses cost more to make but will have more of the 'memory' foam in it.
A recommended memory foam (visco elastic) density is in the 4 lb. - 5.5 lb. range for an average person that wieghts 140-180 lbs. A heavier individual that weights over 200 lbs. might consider a 6 lb. - 8 lb. memory foam (visco elastic) density. Under heavier conditions a denser memory foam will perform better and last longer.

Do I need a new foundation with my new mattress?
All our memory foam mattresses are designed to contour the shape of what ever is applying pressure. If your foundation is old and/or uneven, our mattress will mold to the foundation’s shape and become an uneven surface. This could become an unhealthy sleeping surface and could void the 20-year mattress warranty.
Mattress Of Dreams does not recommend a foundation designed for spring or coil mattresses. These types of foundations DO NOT work well with our memory foam mattresses.
However, a foundation is not need if your bed frame includes a solid or a wood slat base. In this case, our EasyFit™ Foundation may be desired to increase the overall height of your bed.
Our EasyFit™ Foundation is light weight with a non-skid surface to keep your mattress in its place. We offer a foundation package to purchase along with our Designer 8” memory foam mattress. Simply select the mattress size of your choice and the matching foundation for a complete set.
Foundations have a limited life-term just like your mattress. A proper foundation can extend the life of your mattress. If you are replacing your old mattress, chances are that your old foundation needs to be replaces as well. |

Does mattress delivery include installation?
No, products are ship via UPS Ground and do not include set-up or installation of our Designer 8” memory foam mattress. Deliveries are made to the outside door (curbside) of your residence (house or apartment) and not inside.
Our memory foam mattresses are rolled, vacuum packed and sealed in a 15" x 15" x 60" package. This preserves the memory foam (visco elastic) material and protects it from potential freight damage. The package may be heavy and require two people to move it safely to its designated location.
